Preparation work for live session

This is our last lesson of the term, and as next week is our assessed speaking, we'll be using this time to practise the format of the Viva Discussion. Next week you'll be discussing your chosen academic, but for practice material this session we're going to use the discussion topics we've been reading and listening about this week:

• Would a 48 hour working week be beneficial to society?

  • Is this a good idea?

• To what extent should governments control online content?

You will practice the first discussion question with one group. Then, after reflecting on your performance, you will practice the second discussion with a different group. In preparation for the discussion:

• review the texts that we've studied and decide what you think are the best answers to the questions above.

• Use the texts to support your answer in the discussion.

• Work in breakout rooms, with one of you acting as the 'tutor', who asks follow-up questions in part three.
