Publication of Research

It is never too early to start thinking about publishing your research. It will take time to generate sufficient new data suitable for publication, but always have this in mind and strive for publication-quality research at all times. It is essential that the results of our research are disseminated as widely as possible and your success as a scientist will often be determined by the quality of the publications you produce.

Publications will also improve your CV, help to convince your examiners that you are capable of generating publishable research and get you to that next stage of your career. You will need to become familiar with the scientific literature and get used to reading and understanding scientific articles.

Producing TAP reports will help you to develop your scientific writing and your supervisors will be able to edit drafts and provide advice on style and content.
