Spanish
In September, Year 7 pupils in Ysgol Harri Tudur/Henry Tudor School will be studying Spanish (Español).
Spanish is one of the various subjects in the Faculty of Languages, Literacy and Communication, so along with Spanish, you will learn English and Welsh, and hopefully they will all help with your learning of each one of those subjects.
In your Spanish lessons, you will start off with the topic “Myths and Legends”, so you will learn new (and unusual vocabulary) to help you with your speaking and writing.
You will play and invent games, do creative activities and learn about the Spanish culture from Year 7 onwards. We will use stories and literature to fire your imagination and your creativity. Through your Spanish lessons, you will become ambitious and capable learners, enterprising, and you will also be ethical informed citizens of Wales and the world.
Topic 2 will be “How does the past create our present?” and Topic 3 will be “Do humans need to talk?”
You should have a lot of fun being imaginative and thinking outside of the box!
