Mr Neil Truman

Head of the Learning Resource Centre

Hello! I'm Mr Neil Truman and I manage the LRC and enjoy working with all pupils, staff and parents. I have an excellent team who support and provide all pupils with a broad and balanced curriculum that is highly differentiated to allow them to achieve their full potential.

I taught PE for many years, but had to transfer as the pupils became much quicker, stronger and faster than me! I enjoy participating and playing all different sports, especially golf, swimming and rugby.

My wife and daughter are both teachers and my son has just completed his degree in Sport and PE. We all enjoy walking around Tenby Harbour watching the boats and drinking coffee!

Enjoy your summer and see you all in September.

Miss Rees Morgan

Head of Key Stage 3 LRC

Hello, I’m Miss Rees Morgan and from September my new role within the LRC will be to oversee KS3 and transition. I joined the LRC in 2017 and have enjoyed my time working with a dedicated and professional team. I have had the opportunity and privilege to provide support for many pupils within the LRC helping them grow in confidence and achieve their potential for their future.

For many years I was self-employed running a business in the Hospitality sector, I retrained and qualified as a Teacher in Design and Technology in 2009.

I am a creative and practical person and do not shy away from a challenge, in my spare time I am always busy making and mending!

I am looking forward to getting to know and working with our new pupils who will be part of our new year 7 in September.

Mrs Scotcher

Head of Key Stage 4 LRC

Hello, I’m Mrs Scotcher. I am Centre Head and mentor for Key Stage 4 pupils at the LRC. I work as part of our dedicated Alternative Curriculum Team, I deliver Agored Cymru and SWEET Personal and Social Development Programme. I like to plan fun, engaging activities for our pupils to enjoy whilst learning.

I joined the LRC in 2008, I have had the privilege of supporting many students over the past 15 years.

I am a mum to two grown up children and I am soon to be a Grandparent! I love the outdoors and in my spare time I enjoy walking my dog, running, swimming and riding my bike.

I look forward to meeting and working with you all in September.

Mrs Owen

Alternative Curriculum Manager

Hi, I'm Mrs Owen and I am the Alternative Curriculum Manager in the LRC. I am also a mum, with two children and a dog, and we all love being at the beach, usually swimming or surfing or just having a walk!

I ensure we offer many different learning opportunities for our students. Agored Cymru Qualifications are offered in areas such as PSE, Essential Skills for Work and Life (English, Maths, ICT), Art, Catering and Horticulture. These qualifications are based on completing coursework and practical activities so there are no exams and there are always lots of opportunities to be creative in my classroom!

I work with the Disability Sports Wales team who in the past have been able to offer our students a range of activities such as paddle boarding, surfing, IZB, bike mobility, badminton, cricket and more! We also run a program of activities within the centre such as swimming, boccia, daily mile, football and tennis. PC Carolyn Davies is also a regular visitor to my classroom delivering the SchoolBeat Programme supporting Crime Prevention.

I look forward to meeting you all and helping you engage in learning and fun activities here in the LRC.
