Ideally you should not bring a mobile phone to school and leave it at home.
Should you need to carry a phone to and from school you will be required to hand it in during morning mentor time for safe keeping and then collect it during the afternoon mentor session to before you go home.*
There will be zero tolerance on this policy and any learners using a mobile phone in or around school during the school day will have it confiscated to then be collected by a responsible adult, the phone will not be returned to the learner.
*individual exceptions will be made for specific medical conditions
You can be given House points as a reward for positive behaviour. These can be awarded for lots of different things such as:
Excellent effort
Excellent Classwork
Completing Homework
Very Good Attendance
Good Citizenship
Using Incidental Welsh
Taking part in extra-curricular activities (sports, drama, music, after school clubs)
Plus lots more
Sometimes sadly however, we have to remove credits for pupils who display negative behaviours from time to time. At Ysgol Harri Tudur/Henry Tudor School we use a 3 step behaviour policy:
Chance (C1)
Choice (C2)
Consequence (C3)
Your will be giving one chance (warning) about the negative behaviour being displayed. You then have a choice to stop or continue with this negative behaviour. If you choose to continue with the negative behaviour there will be a consequence for you.
Depending upon the negative behaviour being displayed and how you respond when challenged about it the chart below shows how you will be dealt with.
