Hello,
My name is Ms Glarvey and I am a Year 7 Transition Curriculum Teacher at Ysgol Harri Tudur/Henry Tudor School. I am really looking forward to meeting my new Year 7 classes and getting to know you all. You will spend around 40% of your time with me so I will be here to help you emotionally and academically through your transition from primary to secondary. We will cover a range of different subjects together including Humanities, Drama and Art. You will have lots of opportunities to develop all the various skills you will need in your learning at YHT, ranging from working with others to problem solving skills. I have really enjoyed teaching this curriculum for many years now and I’m sure you will enjoy it as much as I do.
I am a mum to 3 wonderful children and love spending time with my family. We have a pet dog named Cooper and he often accompanies me to school to spend time in the classroom. In my spare time I enjoy yoga, walking Cooper on the beach and travelling.
I look forward to meeting you all and helping you through your new and exciting time at YHT.

My name is Mrs. Mackeen. I am in charge of the LRC and will be teaching 7 Lleu in September. I have spent 23 years as a science teacher in Pembroke School and Ysgol Harri Tudur and I cannot wait to share some exciting lessons with you! I am really looking forward to exploring the transition curriculum, with all the different subjects that it covers, and learning more about you all. Over the year, we will work together to develop the skills that will help us in the future, whether that be problem solving and being creative on our own or working together in groups – our new curriculum will give us lots of opportunities to try new things!
Outside of work I am a mum to two brilliant boys and we share our house with our two cats, who are both quite grumpy. I love to read, watch rugby and American football and I try to go to the cinema as much as possible.
