Assistant Headteacher, ALNCo and Designated Safeguarding Lead
My name is Mrs Andrews and I am an Assistant Headteacher and the Additional Learning Needs Co-ordinator (ALNCo) at Ysgol Harri Tudur. I am really looking forward to meeting all our new year 7 pupils and I know you will really enjoy joining our school.
Our additional needs team are always ready to help. The team offers support for a wide range of additional needs from extra literacy and numeracy sessions, developing pupils' speaking and listening skills, and also helping pupils to overcome anxiety and to learn strategies to manage dyslexia.
When I am not in school I enjoy walking my small dog, swimming in the sea, cooking for my two sons and sewing cushions!
See you in September!
Access to Learning Manager
Hello, I'm Mrs Small, the Access to Learning Manager at our school. As part of my role, I oversee the support staff in the Supported Learning Centre (SLC) where we focus on helping learners develop key skills such as social communication, numeracy, literacy, and understanding emotions. It brings me great joy to witness our learners grow and reach their full potential.
Beyond my work at the school, I am also a parent to a son who will be starting Year 11 this September. Family is very important to me and I enjoy spending time with them, especially outdoors. I have a beloved labradoodle named Luna and I am a big animal lover.
In my free time, you can often find me paddle boarding at the beach with my family, followed by a BBQ and roasting marshmallows as we watch the sun set.
I am excited to see you all in September and continue supporting your learning journeys.
Learning Coach ELSA
I am Miss Foster and I am the Learning Coach ELSA overseeing the SLC provision. I offer 1:1, small group ELSA sessions to offer support for learners who are having difficulties with emotional literacy, emotions management and social communication as well as helping learners to catch up and improve their subject specific work
I am enjoying meeting learners and helping them to overcome any issues that they may face. My aim is to identify struggles and to work closely with learners and other support staff to overcome these issues or struggles to enable school to be the enjoyable and happy environment that it should be for all.
I am a mum to a teenage daughter who keeps me very busy and I own a dog called Dinkie-dog (She is anything but Dinkie though). In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my daughter and family, going for walks and drawing.
I am really looking forward to meeting you all in September and helping you to settle in at Ysgol Harri Tudur.
