This course covers the key specialist knowledge and practical skills required by the hospitality sector exploring world food, customer service and the fundamentals of this 91 billion pound UK industry.
The qualification offers greater flexibility through it’s work-related focus and offers a choice of optional units, giving learners the opportunity to specialise in support functions such as marketing, finance and human resources or hotel management.
Learners may wish to gain the qualification in order to enter higher education, a specialist area of employment in the hospitality sector, an apprenticeship or another professional development programme.
Equivalent at Level 3: 1 A Level
UCAS points if achieve a Distinction * = A* at A Level: 56
Entry Requirement: 4 GCSE’s Grade C & above.
Good standard of literacy & numeracy.

Planning, Preparing and Running a Hospitality Event
Continuous internal assessment through a variety of methods including written assignment, practical, oral presentation and professional discussion
Skills required for independent learning and development
ICT and the ability to apply mathematical skills
Problem solving skills
Investigation / Research and analysis skills
Teamwork
A range of good GCSE’s. You do not need to have studied GCSE Food and Nutrition or Business but either would be an advantage.
