Sentimental Objects

"Flowers" 1/30

This is a painting by my great grandmother that I keep in my room. I never met her but I really like the painting and I like to imagine her making it way before I was born. 

"Mary" 1/31

I asked my friends what objects were sentimental to them to try to get inspiration. One of my friends wears a necklace with Mary on it every day and she suggested it for a photograph. I think the necklace is really beautiful which is why I included it here. 

When my grandma died, we went through her jewelry to see what we should keep. I took a small box of it home and the watch and necklace were part of it. I tried to make the picture interesting with the background and the angle of the watch. 

"Camera" 1/31

This is a picture of Mr. Domingo's camera that he keeps on his desk. I learned that it was the first one he used and I got to hold it. It was a lot heavier than I imagined it would be. I included this picture because it was so important to him and I enjoyed talking to him about photography. The person holding it is my friend, who was also interested in its story.
