To create images that communicate signs of winter;
Use creative problem-solving skills to communicate your message;
To continue to practice the compositional strategies that you have learned.
My family and I were having a snack at a pub in Quebec City. The Chateau Frontenac was lit up with red and green on top of the hill, and the patio was decorated for Christmas. They had heat lamps and fires to keep people warm and it felt very cozy and symbolic of winter because of how dark it was at 4 pm.
This was taken in Quebec as well. We were walking down the hill. Pictured is a wall which is a remnant from when Quebec was a French fort in the 18th century. This picture feels like winter to me because you can see people wearing jackets and the golden glow of the lights feels warm.
This is a closer picture of the Chateau Frontenac which is a hotel in old Quebec City. The area around it was decorated for Christmas but you can see the red and green lights on the top. The architecture was so beautiful that I wanted to take a picture of it and since it's so dark and the building glows, I think there's good contrast.
