On October 30th the West Islip Girls Varsity Gymnastics team versed Pat-Med winning 164-162 to win league champions! The varsity gymnastics team went undefeated in all their league competitions this season. We are incredibly proud of every one for all their hard work and dedication all season. Kristen Messina scored an 8.6 on balance beam and an 8.8 on floor to help West Islip to their victory. Next competition is a post-season competition, Invitationals, which will be held at Kings Park this Saturday. Congratulations on league 2 champions, girls!

Great goals by Will Siegman assisted by Brennan Lullo, and goal by Spencer Fisher that all started from the back with Tommy Emmas pass to Will, that was played to Spencer for the goal. Great defense by Ryan Hand, Michael Perrakis, Caleb Smith, Broddy Rossi, Nick Mallen, Ryan Feil, and Michael Sallati. Great saves by Brendan Greene and Dylan Murray. It was a great team win! Come out to support the boys soccer team for the last game of the season against Udall Middle School tomorrow at 4:30. Go Lions!!
The girls soccer team remains undefeated improving their record to 9-0 with their 6-0 win against Brentwood East on Friday. Goals in the game were scored by Reese Kopke, Hadley Grover, Mia Kerrigan assisted by Gianna Vasaturo, Rebecca Murn, and Nina Lantieri from Angelina Hernandez. Tonight at 7 PM under the lights at the HS Stadium Turf, it will be the battle of 2024 when your undefeated Beach Girls Soccer Team takes on undefeated Udall to defend the WIGS cup. It will be a fun and exciting game so come out and support us! GO BEACH!
Beach Field Hockey ends their season undefeated with a 3-1 win over Udall.
The girls tennis team finished off their season yesterday with an impressive 6-1 win over Copiague. Lyla Blee, Sophia Squitiro, Amelia Sullivan, Brynn Ehlers, Adriana Dimitru and Nella Higgins all won their matches to secure the win! It was an overall great season by the girls!!

On October 25th, the girls West Islip Varsity Gymnastics Team hosted Sachem as their last home meet and scored a 164 to win the competition. A wonderful job to Anna Hall and Callie Jones on vaulting. On balance beam, Juliet Leclaire scored an 8.3 and Kristen Messina scored an 8.2 to help the lions to their victory. The girls next meet is away at Pat Med this Wednesday, October 30th. The Beach Football team defeated the Marauders of Bay Shore by a score of 21-0 to earn their 4th win of the season. This was the Lions second shut-out in row. So far this season, the Lions have scored an impressive 112 points. Our best football is still ahead of us. We strive to become a better football team each day. There is no practice today or tomorrow enjoy your weekend and we will see you on Monday.
On Thursday, October 17th, the West Islip girls Varsity Gymnastics team versed Half Hollow Hills. The Lions won their competition and scored their highest team score against Half Hollow Hills, scoring a 166.925. Anna Hall came in 4th for West Islip on bars scoring a 7.3. On floor exercise, Anna Hall scored an 8.525 and Kristen Messina scored an 8.9 to help the Lions clinch their win against Half Hollow Hills. Amazing job girls, keep working hard. The gymnastics team’s next competition is away at East Islip on Tuesday.

The girls Tennis Team Defeated Brentwood yesterday by the score of 5-2. The team was led by Adrianna Dimitru who won her doubles match 6-1. The girls look to continue their hot streak with a match against West Babylon this Thursday!
The girls soccer team remains undefeated with their 6-0 win over Copaigue yesterday. Goals for the lions were scored by Katelyn Schwarz, Daniella Tofano, Gianna Vasaturo, and Becca Murn, Kyla McGuire and Anna Buckley. Assists went to Ella Ulrich, Katelyn Schwarz, and Lexi Kofsky. The Beach Street Football team improved their overall record to 3 wins and 0 losses under the lights of West Islip High School Stadium by defeating the Musketeers of Central Islip by a score of 35 to 0. The offense clicked on all cylinders by scoring first and often throughout the game. The Lions had 280 yards of offense and 12 first down during this dominant performance. Defensively the Lions held the Musketeers to zero points while only giving up 71 yards of offense and 4 first downs. This was the Lions first shut out of the season. Great job boys enjoy your long weekend. Our best football is yet to come. Thank you for coming and supporting our team.
The West Islip Varsity Gymnastics Team versed North Babylon on Thursday, October 10th. The girls defeated North Babylon 160.175 to 152.75. On floor exercise, Kristen Messina scored an 8.65. Notable mentions to Anna Hall and Callie Jones on vaulting, as well as Juliet Leclaire on uneven bars and beam whose performances helped West Islip reach their goal of a 160. Great job girls! Next meet is Thursday, October 17th against Half Hollow Hills.
The girls soccer team played their most challenging opponent, Babylon, on Wednesday but kept their undefeated season going with a hard - fought 4-2 win. Goals were scored by Lexi Kofsky assisted by Becca Murn; Murn assisted by Nina Lantieri; Lantieri assisted by Murn; and Anna Buckley assisted by Hadley Grover. It was a great game. The Lions next game is home on Tuesday at 4:30 vs Copaigue. Come out and support your undefeated girls soccer team!

The West Islip Varsity Gymnastics Team hosted Commack on Tuesday, October 8th. The girls scored their highest overall team score, scoring a 162.05. On uneven bars, Kristen Messina scored a 7.45 taking 3rd place overall. On balance beam, Juliet LeClaire scored an 8.4 taking 3rd place overall. Incredible job to all! Keep up the hard work. Next competition is away on Thursday against North Babylon.

The Beach Street Football Lions continue their winning ways by defeating the Buccaneers of Islip by a score of 28 to 7. The game started close with a 0-0 score at the end of the first quarter. The Lions started to drive and scored two touchdowns to made the score 14 to 0 at the end of the second quarter. The Lions scored again in the third quarter and again in the 5th quarter to help cruise to a victory. The Lions had 279 yards total offense while only giving up 85 yards. Thank you for everyone for coming out to support us. The Lions next play the Musketeers of Central Islip under the stadium lights on Thursday October 10th at 6:00 PM. Please come support your team.
