May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we are excited to kick off and celebrate this national movement to raise awareness about mental health and recognize the importance of social and emotional wellbeing for our school community.
The Helping Hands Club and Diversity Club has teamed up again this year to create Beach Street's "Self-Care Monthly Calendar." Each day will feature a specific self-care activity that we encourage all students and staff to implement into their day, and together, recognize the power that small positive habits can have on your mental health and overall wellbeing.
Let's make Mental Health Month a time of growth, learning, and support for everyone here at Beach Street!

The Baseball team kicked off their 2024 Season against a strong opponent on Wednesday afternoon. The lions got off to a hot start defensively behind starting pitcher, Braeden Baierlein, who got 3 quick outs in the first inning and did a great job battling with runners on. Jackson O'Hara tallied the first hit of the 2024 season with a base hit to left field. Braeden also contributed in a big spot at the plate with a line drive to center, which sparked a rally for the offense. Gavin Porter, Matthew Piropato, and Derek Kolman provided more offense for the team later in the game. Jackson Howley worked a long at bat and ultimately put the Lions in position to take the lead, before surrendering 3 runs to Commack in the 6th inning.
Matt Mannino was stellar out of the bullpen, and Mattew Schlitt made a Web Gem diving play for us in the outfield.
The Lions lost 7-4, but will look to improve to .500 when they play Oldfield on April 30th.
The Lions next game Home game is May 6th against Elwood.
