Productive Struggle

Rationale: Productive struggle is developing strong habits of mind, such as perseverance and thinking flexibly, instead of simply seeking the correct solution. 

Description: Productive struggle is an effortful practice that goes beyond passive reading, listening, or watching.  It builds useful, lasting understanding and skill. When students are at full capacity with their understanding and continue to explore different avenues to solve problems.
