Every year, CLDE teachers are required to create and submit a learning plan. Those plans have changed drastically from how they looked in the past. The plans now contain one set of goals that must be reached by working with students and staff.
These plans are now housed in Infinite Campus under "forms" after looking up a student.
Each English Learner (NEP/LEP) should have an individualized Learning Plan. The CLD Specialist is in charge of completing this document with the input of the student, teachers, and parents. This plan sets language goals.
Create a learning plan for every NEP & LEP or add on to an existing plan if one has been created for the current year.
Update the goals according to the most recent ACCESS or WIDA Screener in any domain below 4.0.
Due 90 days before state assessment that accommodations apply to.
Don't duplicate a plan. If a plan has been created for the current year by another team member (since GT, CLD, SpEd, Read teachers will all have their hands in the plans), go into the same plan and add your goals or other tools to that plan.
Don't auto-fill your name in the "team lead name" section. It's tempting, but make sure to manually type your name, or it will replace all the student's information.
This video will provide you the basics of where the plan is housed, who the students are that require a plan, and who to contact for support.
Complete all sections of the plan prior to Fall Parent Teacher Conferences.
