Family Engagement

Westminster Public Schools is committed to invite parents to become involved in their children’s education. The central goal of this is to increase parent leadership and engagement opportunities with the intent of developing meaningful activities as a key stakeholder of the district. There are several ways that parents can become involved:

Translating/Interpreting

WPS offers interpretation and translation services to each school and family in the district. The Office of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education oversees this service. The District employs a full time language facilitator to manage request for services. The services include translation of written documents in order to provide clear communication to families of school or community opportunities within their child’s school or at the district level. Families are also given opportunities to request services as needed. The interpretation services include but are not limited to Parent – Teacher Conferences, PTO/A meetings, Building or District Accountability meetings, Title III and Title I meetings, IEP or any individualized educational plan meeting, District Showcase Night, Back-to-School events and Celebrating Academic Excellence.

OR please follow the steps below:

Access WPS website.
Log in using your network user name and password.*
Once you are logged in, hover on Staff (Blue bar).
Click on Learning Services from the drop down.
Scroll to find forms and resources on the bottom right side of the screen.
Click on Interpreter Request or Translation Request. Fill out the form and submit.
