Jim earned his Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from West Virginia University in 1977. While at WVU, he served as a student manager on the staff of the legendary football coach Bobby Bowden. In addition to his career as a phamacist with Warren Memorial Hospital, he served as President of Front Royal Lions Club, Chairman of the Virginia Board of Health Professions, Front Royal United Methodist Men's Misson, WVU Varsity Club, and member of the Salvation Army board to name a few.
The most impactful contribution to Warren County Public Schools was through his dedicated service and leadership as a member of the Warren County School Board from 2002 though 2021. He was an avid supporter of WCPS athletcs. His calm demeanor and insightfulness helped to grow all programs . His understanding and application for the opportunities that extra-curricular activites provide students was invaluable.
