Athlete
Alphonso was a 1981 graduate of Warren County High School. He excelled in Basketball and Baseball. In Basketball, he was a three time letter winner, two-year captain, named All Northwestern District and All-Area. In Baseball, he was a two-time captain, three-letter winner, two-time All-Area, three-time All Northwestern District, All Region and All-State. He participated in the 1981 VSCA All-Star Baseball Game.
Alphonso attended Howard University, majoring in Business Administration and played Baseball. He was named team MVP in 1983 and 1984. In 1984, he was named 1st All Team Mid-Atlantic Conference and Conference MVP. In 1984, he was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 8th round. He was a finalist for the 1984 Olympic Baseball Team.

Michelle was a 2004 graduate of Warren County High School. She excelled in Cross Country and Track and Field. In Cross Country, she was a three-time All-Northwestern District, two-time All-Region, two-time All-State Performer, two-time Washington Post All-Metro, and one-time Footlocker All-South Region performer. In Track and Field, she had six All-District (800m, 1600m, 3200m relay) and five All-State performances (1600m, 3200m, 3200m relay).
She earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from James Madiosn University. She participated in Cross Country, indoor and outdoor Track and Field. She was a two-time ALL-CAA performer in Cross Country and team captain. She was a seven-time CAA Academic Award Recipient and a two-time JMU Athletic Director's Scholar Athlete Award recepient.
