Class of 1967

Athlete

Andy participated in Football, Basketball, and Track and Field. As an all-around great athlete, it was on the football field where he most excelled for the Wildcats. Andy was the first recipient of the prestigious Golden Helmet Award in 1966. He was an outstanding running back for the Wildcats. He earned All-Area, All-District, and All-State Honors. He senior year, he rushed for 1,012 yards. At that time, Andy set the WCHS school season scoring record with 17 touchdowns and was responsible for scoring 107 points.

Robert Stepp Jr

Class of 1976

Athlete

Robert participated in Football, Wrestling, and Track and Field. He excelled in Football as an outstanding offensive and defensive lineman. Robert earned first team All-Area and All-District in both 974 and 1975 as an offensive and defensive lineman. In addition, he was named Defensive Player of the Year.

Robert attended and played football for Ferrum College. He earned his Associates Degree from Liberty Univeristy in Church Ministries.

Henry J Owens IV

Class of 2004

Athlete

Joseph participated in Basketball and Track and Field. In Basketball he was a two year letterman. In Track and Field he excelled as an elite high jumper. His prep high jump accomplishements include: one time district runner up, two time all state performer, one time VHSL State Champion and an 11th place finish at the 2004 USA National High School Track and Field Championships.

Joseph earned his bachelors degree from Christopher Newport University in 2009. While at CNU, he excelled in Track and Field. In high jump, he was a 7 time conference champion (4 indoor and 3 outdoor), 6 time national qualifier, and 3 time NCAA All American. Joseph holds the Christopher Newport University indoor, outdoor and stadium high jump records.

Daniel Jesse Henry

Class of 2006

Athlete

Jesse excelled in Basketball and Baseball. In Basketball, he was a four year starter and letterman. He was a two time All-Area, All-District and team MVP. His career points total was 1,043. In Baseball, he was a four year starter and letterman. He earned first team All-Area, All-District, and two time MVP award. He was named the Northern Virginia Daily, Winchester Star, and Northwestern District Player of the Year. He was a two time All-Region shortstop/utility player and first team All-State utility player. His senior year he was named WCHS Male Athlete of the Year.

Jesse earned his bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from Shenandoah University in 20 and participated on the baseball team. He played back-to-back NCAA College World Series in 2009 and 2010. He was named Most Outstanding Player in the South Region NCAA Baseball Tournament.
