Barbee excelled in Basketball for the Wildcats. She set the WCHS single game scoring record with 37 points. She was a member of the 1972 undefeated Northwestern Districts Girls Basketball Championship team, was named MVP in 1972 and WCHS 1973 Female Athlete of the Year. She was a team captain her junior and senior year.
Barbee attended and played basketball for James Madison University. She earned her Bachelors degree from JMU in 1977 and her Masters degree from Virginia Tech in 1989.
In 1977, she started her teaching and coaching career at WCHS. She taught Government from 1977-1990. She coached girls' basketball from 1977-1983. In additon, she served as an assistant softball coach for several years. She completed her career as an Administrator with Culpepper County Schools from 1990-2018.

Lynn excelled in Basketball for the Wildcats. She was a member of the 1972 undefeated Northwestern District Girls Basketball Championship team, was named team MVP in 1971 and 1st Team All District in 1973. She scored 631 points in her three year career for the Wildcats and was a two time team captain. She was active in the WCHS Keyettes, Band, Yearbook and Future Teachers of America.
Lynn attended James Madison University where she earned her Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Edcuation in 1978. Lynn has been a career teacher in the Early Childhood/Elementary setting.
