Kenneth Morris is a decorated United States Navy Veteran who flew aboard the P3-C Orion and P-8 Poseidon aircraft based at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Washington.
As a Second Class Petty Officer he worked as an Anti-Submarine Warfare Systems Operator - Acoustic Operator and qualified Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist.
As a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom, Kenneth is a recipient of the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medal, NATO medal, Kosovo Air Campaign medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary medal, Sea Service Deployment medal and more.
Kenneth was born and raised in Houston, Texas and is the oldest sibling to seven younger sisters. He has a degree in Computer Information Systems from Seward County College.
Previously, Kenneth was the Director of Education and Outreach for the Lone Star Flight Museum in Houston, Texas. Kenneth is also the founder of Universal Elite Aerospace, an Aviation S.T.E.M. Outreach program that works with youth and teens, motivating and inspiring them to exceed expectations in the aviation and aerospace sector.
In 2018, Kenneth was selected as one of 11 U.S. military veterans and the only African American selected by the Department of Transportation to fly in the Forces to Flyers initiative. Upon completion, Kenneth is a Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument and will continue his work inspiring, motivating, training and introducing young people to the aviation industry.

We are looking for students 16 to 23, in high school, or full time college students. Students admitted to AIM HIGH Flight Academy will learn to fly and earn a certificate of completion for a beginner pilot level. You will be on scholarship and the academy will be at no cost.
There is no charge for submitting an application, and if chosen, awarded students’ admissions costs are paid 100% by the AFRS
