The City of Wooster Urban Forestry Program assists the PPM Division in guidance and support of maintaining the overall health, preservation, and growth of the street trees throughout the City.
To maintain and improve the beautification along the streets throughout the City as well as maintain the overall tree canopy.
Planting twice as many trees as the City is removing each year is making a significant in the total inventory of trees to maintain.
Wooster's Urban Forestry Commission was established in 1954.
Wooster continually maps and manages over 3,700 city trees.
Annually the City plants between 150 and 200 trees.
