Track the type and volume of police calls for service.

Definition

Wooster Police Department utilizes a records management system to ascertain how many total calls for service the department is handling. Calls for service include 911, non-emergency calls, and self-initiated activity. The department assigns one call number for each call for service handled.

Significance

This shows the total number of calls for service handled by the Wooster Police Department and is the most accurate way to show the total number of service calls handled each year.

Trends

Overall there is a slight increase in call volume on a yearly basis. Filtering the visual above to drug violations you can see that since 2015 Wooster Police has seen a reduction in the number of calls for this violation. Additionally, OVI calls have dropped significantly since 2015.
