This indicator is measured by monitoring when requests are received (online and by telephone) and when the inspector responds to this request and schedules the inspection and sends a confirmation email to the customer. This metric is updated quarterly.
Providing reliable and timely inspections is an important part of our work. These numbers show the priority we place on responding to inspection requests.
Since 2017 when we implemented a new online permitting system and plan review software, the inspection times have decreased 22%.
Incidentally, we also allow the customer to specify an exact time and we generally are able to comply with the request.
