The Pavement Condition Index (PCI) is the measure of the current pavement condition of each street segment, typically one block in length. The PCI is determined each year by quantifying pavement characteristics on a scale of 1 to 100 for each street section. An index of 90 to 100 is excellent; 80 to 89 is very good; 70 to 79 is good; 55 to 69 is fair; and less than 55 is poor.
Tracking the PCI of Wooster's roadways keeps resident and business transportation needs moving smoothly while prioritizing the most efficient spending on roadway repairs.
Currently a visual for this is still being developed.
Wooster's PCI has been trending up since the inception of the income tax increase.
