A fire inspection is an examination of a location’s risk of having a fire and the impact to life safety.
Fire Safety Inspections are an important part of our Community Risk Reduction Division, which allows us to proactively mitigate fire and life safety hazards before an actual incident occurs.

In 2018, the Fire Division conducted regular fire inspections on approx. 13% of business occupancies (Avg. 1500 businesses) within the City. In 2019, documentation showed a 25% increase in regular and re-inspection activities, as compared to 2018’s activities.
