Number of Inspections in the R-T District

Goal

Conduct proactive inspections of the R-T (Traditional Residential) zoning district for compliance with the adopted Property Maintenance Code and Planning and Zoning Code.

Definition

An on-site exterior inspection of a property in the R-T zoning district. The inspection checks for compliance with the adopted Property Maintenance Code and Planning and Zoning Code. The results of an inspection are a letter to the property owner:

· Indicating the property is in compliance with City Codes and thanking them for maintaining their property.

· Recommending that identified issues are voluntarily addressed.

· Identifying violations of City Code(s) and ordering the property owner to bring the property into compliance within an indicated time.

Significance

This indicator is important to show the Building Standards and Planning and Zoning Division continued commitment to code enforcement in the downtown area.
