Measure

We track the number of single family homes built in Wooster during the year.

This measurement is for new detached single-family dwellings built in the calendar year.

The economic measure tracks part of the construction investment in the community each year.

The following graph shows the new housing starts over the last 10 years.

2019 saw 11 new single-family homes and was near the 2008 all-time low when the housing numbers were affected by the financial crisis.

During 2003-2004 over 100 homes were built each year.
