EV Charging Ports

Goal

Track data on City owned electric vehicle charging ports to evaluate return on investment and green house gas (GHG) emissions avoided.

Definition

The estimate for emissions avoided is based on the energy dispensed. Actual emissions avoided may be higher or lower depending on how your electricity is generated locally.

Significance

Driving electric is an important way to reduce reliance on oil and fossil fuels and decrease greenhouse gas emissions. This provides residents with public health benefits from reduced air pollutants. The City of Wooster is a champion for the environment and supports a cleaner and greener way of getting around.
