Keys to Essay Writing

Step 1, pick a topic you want to write about. Step 2, research facts about your topic. Step 3, with your facts, split them into categories to make an outline. After that you can start to make your introduction with the facts, saying what you're going to talk about. Then, you can start your 3 body paragraphs using the facts. Finish with a conclusion by looping back to the start and telling how great the topic is.

Following the structure of your outline is extremely important to write efficiently. Segmenting your studies of the subject you're tasked with is a great way to save time and stay on the correct topic. First, break your topic into about three categories that should flow together, making it interesting and engaging to read. Once you have your three topics, you should write Roman numerals to separate your introduction, your main body paragraphs, and your conclusion. Sort all of the information you’ve gathered into the correct paragraph, and start writing! Treat your outline as a map and never stray away from it.

It is always helpful to make an outline when writing an essay so you know what you are doing. Gathering information about your topic is also an important thing to do, so there are facts about your topic. It is also helpful to edit once you've finished, so you can spot spelling mistakes, punctuation mistakes, and spacing mistakes.

When you write an essay, a great tip is to double check your writing because you might have misspelled a word or forgotten to add a space. Another great thing to do is read it out loud so you can see if it flows or if a comma should be there or a full stop. I hope this helps you and good luck!

To me, an important part of writing is making sure the reader can understand what you are writing. Sometimes, you will stumble across a book, essay or paragraph, but you can’t really understand what’s going on. That can be very frustrating to a lot of people, me included, so in this paragraph, I have written an important part of writing: making sure it is easy for the reader to understand what you are writing.

Writing is amazing because it can be useful for all sorts of things. It can be used to persuade people, to inform people, to make people laugh, and so much more. I hope that all people can find ways to enjoy writing and have fun with it because before I knew how fun it could actually be, I hated it! Keep writing and don’t give up because sometimes writing will seem like schoolwork, but really it’s not!

Ever wondered how to write an essay? This essay will help you write one! When writing an essay, we first have to think of where to start. We start with an introduction, and we also choose a topic and decide what our three main body paragraphs will be. Secondly, we make the meat. Our meat is the body paragraphs, which we have to write. Last but not least, we have to write our conclusion. We will make sure we have everything we want to put in our essay, and then we edit it. Don’t forget to choose a topic that interests you! Writing essays is a lot of fun!

First, we have to research about whatever you're writing about. Lastly, for when writing an essay introduction, you will need to write a main sentence of whatever you’re writing (this main sentence is often called a thesis). Once you’ve done that, you have to write an outline. Let’s imagine a baker wants to bake some cupcakes, and she needs ingredients like flour, sugar, eggs and milk. She then will rush to the pantry to get these ingredients, but she hasn’t gone shopping and then will have to wait a long time before she can BAKE THE CUPCAKES! Writing an outline is basically making sure you can bake cupcakes without wondering where that is or if you forgetting something. Especially something like your hard work of researching! An outline also saves you time and you also have it to look back and remind yourself.

When we write an introduction we want to use a hook sentence to grab people's attention. For example, let’s say you're writing an essay about seals, and you want to have a great hook sentence to grab people’s attention, so you could have a hook sentence like this: "Wonderful and sleepy, these creatures are really fascinating. Dive with us as we learn about seals." You also need to choose what your essays three main body paragraphs are. You could go like this (these suggestions are mostly based for writing about animals): APPEARANCE, LIFESTYLE, VARIETIES or maybe, THEIR HABIT, THEIR FOOD AND PREY, THEIR PREDATORS or, BREED 1, BREED 2, BREED 3 or, FACTS ABOUT THEIR BODY, FACTS ABOUT THEIR HOME, and FACTS ABOUT THEIR BREEDS.

Writing body paragraphs is pretty simple; YOU JUST WRITE THEM! There are a few things to remember when making this meat! When we write our three body paragraphs we will use the PEEL method. PEEL stands for POINT, EXPLAIN, EXAMPLE, AND LINK. A really cool trick/tip for when writing the body paragraphs is you could copy, then paste your outline to where you're writing your essay and then just smooth it out with sentences. You do have an outline, so USE IT! I find that this trick/tip makes it harder for me to write, but it does save time, so either way they both work! Find the way which works best for you.

What is a conclusion? A conclusion is the paragraph that wraps up our essay. It’s like the gift-wrapping on a present! When we write our conclusion, we have to remember that we have to restate the thesis in new words that are really very descriptive. Then we remind our readers of our three main points. (This is where your outline comes in handy). Then we close our essay with an interesting statement or call to action! We make sure we have everything we want to put in our essay, and our outline also helps with that.

Then it’s time for editing! When we edit our essay we ask ourselves this. Does every sentence have a capital letter? Does every sentence have a full stop ? Have I got any run-on sentences? Does my essay make sense? Do I have an introduction, three body paragraphs and a conclusion? Do I have 4 or more sentences in each paragraph? With these questions, we can make our essay better than ever! (No, editing your essay cannot change the world.)

Writing an essay can be a lot of fun, especially when we have everything we need to write one! First we write the introduction, making sure we have research, thesis and outlines, then the body paragraphs which have all the information, and lastly, the conclusion that wraps it up! Then we edit the wonderful essay you’ve just written! All that’s left to do is ………….. sit back and, ADMIRE YOUR NEWLY-WRITTEN ESSAY! Writing is a wonderful skill that anyone can obtain if they try hard enough, so keep practising and writing is forever yours!
