 Delightfully Dainty Dogs

  What animal loves to play with you the best? Dogs! Dogs have many stories of courage and bravery, and they do many important jobs that save many lives. Plus they have all kinds of wonderful facts that are interesting and cool. A few popular breeds are the Bichon Frise, Golden Retriever, and American Eskimo, and they all have different qualities, traits, personalities, and needs like health, exercise and grooming. Dogs are the best friends I could ever have!

  After the latest animal election, once again dogs have kept their winning streak. Dogs are man’s best friend, proven by votes all over the world as the best animals and pets. One of the many reasons why they have so many fans is because they are known for being loyal, affectionate, adorable, and admire people and enjoy being admired. 

  Dogs do many important jobs like sniffing out drugs, water-rescue, herding and protecting animals on farms and hunting. Dogs also have been found to have an unselfish kindness and have no reward from it. Their sense of smell is better than humans by 100,000 making them great at finding drugs and illegal things. Dogs’ noses can sense heat so that blind or deaf dogs can still hunt, and their noses can also smell feelings. Dogs have a higher IQ than cats and can see colours in shades of yellow and blue.

  Some dogs can yodel, and many more dream and are contagious to yawns. Dogs curl themselves when they go to sleep, to protect their inner organs.They are certainly very smart indeed. Dogs are a lot of work like grooming. They need grooming to keep the skin and fur healthy and to keep debris out also to check for lumps or disease. Dogs need food for energy, and they enjoy it too. Dogs also need exercise to let out energy, keep muscles from going weak, and to keep from getting obese, but it is all very worth it. Petting dogs lowers blood pressure and stress levels in dogs and people; they really help us a lot. 

 Some wolves are not considered to be at hand to extinction, like the Grey Wolves. While some varieties like the Red Wolves are critically endangered according to the Endangered Wolf Center. Ethiopian Wolves are also critically endangered according to the African Wildlife Foundation. Almost every wolf suffers from these main dangers: habit loss (deforestation), human conflict, such hunting and car collisions, and disease.

  Bichon Frises are wonderful family pets, as they love children and are friendly to other furry residents. They also have very high energy. Bichon Frises are highly trainable which makes them a very popular breed of dog especially for people who are very busy. They are very calm, relaxed and friendly which makes them great PAT dogs. They also can make friends with postmen. They think most of the time that people are just friends they haven’t made yet. They were lap dogs bred from Tenerife, and they also don’t need much exercise. Bichon Frises need regular grooming and can be styled to have a powder-puff look used in national dog shows. They also have curly double coats. Bichon Frises are hypoallergenic making them suitable for people with allergies.

  Golden Retrievers like dog sports, and since they are hard working they are a popular breed. Golden Retrievers make good family dogs. Their good temperament and friendliness to children also makes them a great choice to be therapy dogs. They stay young for longer than most breeds and they carry things with soft mouths making them popular gundogs. Golden Retrievers come in four different colours: golden, white, black, and red. They have the coat type of double and the length of their fur is medium.  

  American Eskimos originate in Germany where they were kept as hunters, herders and livestock guards. They come in three sizes: standard, miniature and toy. American Eskimos come in two colours white and white and biscuit. Some of their needs are that they need plenty of exercise to keep them healthy and happy and to prevent them getting obese ,they also need much grooming to keep the oils in their skin and fur healthy. They often enjoy the beauty treatment and quality affection time.

  Dogs help me be safe, comfortable and happy, so they are wonderful company. With cool origins, helpful jobs, and wonderful and interesting facts, dogs are amazing creatures! There are many different and unique breeds of dog, but a few of my favourite ones are the Bichon Frise, Golden Retriever and American Eskimo. Remember to vote for dogs in the next animal election (metaphorically speaking) and embrace your delightful companion once more!
