The Goliath birdeater spider is the biggest spider in the world. It can grow to 13cm. Despite its name, the Goliath birdeater only rarely actually preys on birds. In the wild, its diet consists primarily of other large arthropods, worms, and amphibians.
The karaops spider is the fastest spider in the world. It can do eight 360° per second! Another type, the orb-weaver spider can make the most beautiful webs in the world, intricately woven to make a beautiful pattern.
Spiders are fascinating creatures. There are many amazing varieties, like the big boy, goliath birdeater, and orb-weaver. They help make the world a better place.
