Fo Guang Shan Vancouver’s 2025 Vegrun Charity Run turned participants’ walking distance into a donation of 600 pounds of fresh vegetables. On July 29, Abbess Venerable Chueh Chu and BLIA Vancouver President Johnny Ng delivered them to the Muslim Food Bank and Quest Non-Profit Grocery Market.
The event showed cross-faith respect and cooperation. Venerable Chueh Chu said VegRun is more than a health run—it’s a way to practice compassion and unite the community. Both organizations expressed thanks, calling it timely support and a model of cultural harmony.
Vegrun promotes the Three Acts of Goodness and Four Givings, encouraging people to bring kindness into daily life.
