SOE & SONHP Representative Elections 2018-fall
Congratulations to the new representatives to the PTFA Policy Board:
School of Education
Peter Geiger
School of Nursing and Health Professions
Sylvia Andrade
Recently, two part-time Policy Board Representatives, one from the School of Education and one the School of Nursing and Health Professions, accepted full-time jobs at other institutions. As required by our By-Laws, we are holding a special election to serve the terms through May 31, 2020 so that all part-time faculty are duly represented by the union.
Nominations for the two positions open on Monday, September 17. You may nominate yourself or a part-time colleague either via email or in person. Please include: the candidate’s name and email address, the two most recent years the candidate taught at USF, and the school (SOE or SONHP) for which the person is being nominated. Nominations by email close on Thursday, September 20 @ 1:00pm.
Candidates must have completed two semesters of teaching at USF. Representatives may serve from the USF main campus or branch campuses.
Email nominations should be sent to elections@usffapt.org.
In-person nominations can be made at the membership meeting on Thursday, September 20, 11:30 to 1:00 in MC251. (Refreshments will be available.)
Email nominations close on Thursday, September 20 @ 1:00pm.
Candidates’ statements are due to elections@usfptfa.orgas PDF files on Friday, September 28 by 5pm. They will be distributed electronically within two days.
