Tell Your Adjunct Story

Tell Your Adjunct Story

The Part-Time Faculty Association is compiling stories

about our lives as adjuncts -- how hard it is to make ends meet,

the challenges and situations we face as part-time faculty, etc.

Read USF Adjunct Stories

So, please take a moment now -- and share

"A story or example of a challenge in my life as an adjunct"

(or what my life is like -- or a similar theme)

  • About 50 words (75 max)

    • If you like, you may,

      • Upload a photo of yourself or a photo of yours that illustrates the situation in your story [highly encouraged]

      • (please: no Internet images, no images of students or others without their permission).

      • Upload a personal video testimonial (15 to 60 seconds).

  • Stories will be posted online and used on posters, so indicate if you prefer to remain anonymous.

  • Questions? send to stories@usfptfa.org

We're posting these on the PTFA Facebook page and will use these stories to help people understand how difficult it is to live and maintain a career as "contingent" faculty at USF. We've found adjunct stories to be particularly helpful in communicating to administration during contract negotiations the need for improvements in salary, job security, health care premiums, and more. Your story is crucial in helping us move forward with negotiations.

So, now let's hear your Adjunct Story!
