Time In: 20:00 - 01:00 on the Friday 10:00 - 23:00 on Saturday. Off site 11:00 on Sunday

Accommodation: All Attendees will have the option of a bunk

Initially we have booked 50 Player Spaces for the event but have the opportunity to increase this and will set a crew number based on the number of players. 

Booking will go live 09/07/26 and we will assign player spaces between then and 16/07/26 with priority going to players who have attended at least one of our last two main events (E5 and E4). Please do not send us money until we have confirmed your booking please! 

Due to the nature of payments for the site and when we will need to lay down deposits for your space we will not be able to offer a Refund after the 20th of August. 

Event Brief

When Solem was new the Primordial Scroll swam the depths of it's oceans. As one of the more cerebral of the Primordials it did not make it's legacy something simple or urbane. Instead it's long efforts created the Library of Scroll. This repository of knowledge and collection of the occult has grown down the Cycles to a truly vast size. Many have sought the secrets and relics it holds.  However it is a dangerous place where only one known being has entered and then escaped, all the rest remain sealed inside for all the Ages of Solem. 

But where there is a will there is a way and the Awakened of the Tower cross the seas to Nagaikia in order to enter the Library and claim it's myriad secrets. Despite it's guardian Sphinxes, cunning traps and the lost horrors contained within they seek a path forward. They will be far from their allies, far from their homes and far from the Unfinished Tome. But the Tower has overcome greater challenges. Surely?

Notes on the Event 

• The Event will be Low to Medium Combat but with a High Threat of Character Loss. 

• There will be Limited access to the Unfinished Tome, when booking characters should choose their Lores carefully as swapping Lores will not be as easy as a standard event. 

• There will be a mechanic in place that traps the characters within the Library. The entire event will be based in the Library rather than going out on missions via the Arynian Gate. Failure to escape the Library by the end of the event will mean your character, whilst not dead, will be unplayable as they are trapped forever within the Library. 

• Magical items will also be sought by the Library and bringing in large numbers will make it harder to escape the Library's clutches. Characters may choose to leave as many of their items in their player packs as they wish for the duration of the weekend.  

• The Event timings we are currently expecting are 20:00 till 01:00 on the Friday and 11:00 till 22:00 on the Saturday. This is because we will need to leave site at around 11:00 on Sunday so the early time out is to give people chance to decompress and rest if they so choose.

• Bunks will be available on Site. 

• Catering information will be coming in the future. 

• More details on the mechanics and logistics of the event will be provided closer to the event in either announcements or the player pack as relevant.

FAQ 

• Why are you running a different style of event? 

Partly site availability - it is becoming more difficult to find sites that tick all the boxes Tome needs and have availability. Rather than not have another event till 2027 we thought this was a good middle ground and we thought the concept was interesting. 

• Why is the cost higher than other events? 

The cost of the site is higher and based on a per head cost rather than a whole site cost. We pay £68 per person on site which means the Game Team and Crew who help us run the event also cost this same amount. In order to be reasonably sure of breaking even we need to charge a higher amount for this event unfortunately.

• I don't think this event will be my speed even though I enjoy other Tome events, is that an issue?

Not at all, we would always encourage you to play games you think you will enjoy. This game will be very contained in it's scope so much of the rest of the tale of the game will pick up at E6 in 2027. 

• Will there be opportunities to pay in instalments?

Yes, whilst we cannot offer reduced or concession tickets if you reach out to us at thetomelarp@gmail.com and we can discuss to arrange payment in instalments. 

• Can I camp at this event? 

We have some limited camping space available. 

• Will a certain Lore work at this event?

The event is happening entirely inside the Library of Scroll so if a Rite requires access to a thing not in the Library this will be challenging to cast. This is known to your characters. What they don't know is how the Library may interfere with magic. As a game around magical investigation and experimentation we invite you to find out!
