Magic returned. It flowed back into the world and showed a new, vibrant and exceedingly dangerous world to the select few who can see. Those who followed their strange dreams into the woods found tumbledown ruins tended to by beings of parchment. They found a book of great power: The Unfinished Tome.
More folk from many walks of life came to this ruin. Following their dreams, they came with their own hopes, their own strengths, and their own Lore. Together, they might build something new in the coming times of change.
New Lores and magic were added to the Unfinished Tome, which has already grown beyond a single volume. Its rising power has enhanced the Awakened bound to it, granting them deeper spirits and the ability to hold a further lore. Many a magic of plague and pestilence, of runes and winds, of the hearth, and of many more arcane secrets were added to the Tome. Its power grows with every new discovery.
The Awakened of the Tower continued their assault on Soldia, the lost city of the dead. They brought final death to the undead generals of its army and destroyed the dread pit holding the spirits of the Soldian people captive. In a moment of peace, an ancient seed was planted amidst the graves, healing a wound in the world and restoring some small part of what has been lost. These victories were great indeed. With Soldia cleansed, the Awakened of the Tower stood with the barrow wights of the now-mortal King Rycharde of Soldia, and crowned him as the rightful ruler of the newly purified land.
Greed was conquered as the Awakened foiled the golden dragon Atamo-Roth's siege against the vined city of Aligona, tracking down and slaying the beast alongside its cult of worshippers. Its flames repelled by the Tower's magic, the dragon fell: melting into the gold it once coveted.
Allegiances wavered. The stars gained faithful: the Flower and the Helm selected Chosen. Some Knights completed noble quests, and some broke oaths, rebelling against the nature of their Sovereign. The barrow wights of Soldia were both rewarded and betrayed, reclaiming their homeland even as they lost their immortality.
Kakeris, Paladin of the Vulture, was driven off by the Awakened of the Tower. His pestilences cleansed and the rot planted within Thea burned away. Shades and nightmares were slain beneath Keld, and the terrible taint of an ancient evil was expunged. In the House Without Walls, its manifold secrets are being unfurled, one by one. What else remains to be discovered within its bounds? What lores lie waiting to be found? What land will the Arynian Gate bind itself to next?
Many questions still remain. The page has turned, noting another chapter in the history of the Awakened. Now we must wait until the next dip of the quill.
