Regional Build off State Qualifier - TBD
Regional Build off State Qualifier - TBD
Build-Off Team Details:
Each participating high school may register one Build-Off Team consisting of four currently enrolled high school students. This team will represent their school in a hands-on fabrication challenge designed to test welding proficiency, teamwork, and project execution.
Registration Fee: $300 per team
(This fee helps cover materials, supplies, event logistics, and awards.)
Permitted Welding Processes:
SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding): Electrodes E6010 and E7018 only
GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding)
FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding)
Additional Notes:
All welding equipment and PPE must be provided by the participating school or team.
Projects must adhere to event guidelines and be completed within the designated timeframe.
Judging will be based on craftsmanship, safety, weld quality, teamwork, and adherence to the design specifications.
