Tentative Welding Schedule of Events:

Check in Time: 7:00 am - 7:30 am

Safety meeting: 8:00am - 8:30 am

Star/End Time Build I: 8:30am - 10:30 am

Start / End Time Build II 10:45 am - 12:45 am

1:00 pm Lunch Provided

1:30 pm Cutting Torch Races / Certification weld

3:00 pm Teacher Torch Races

4:00 pm Results and awards

Lockley Double L Welding Rodeo

Entry Fee - $150 Per Build off Team
Max up to 4 member per Team
Limit 15 Teams Max

Teams will be split into pairs, and each pair will complete an outdoor build using SMAW and an indoor build using GMAW. You will need your portable welder and tools for this competition. Remember your PPE.

Rules:

Students must be in proper PPE for Build off.

This is a minimum required list

Denim / Wool pants
Long Sleeve Cotton Welding Shirt or an approved Welding Jacket
Closed Toe LEATHER Shoes (No running shoes or similar will be allowed.
Safety Glasses (Z87)
Ear Plugs
Face Shield
