About the event!
The challenges of COVID have inspired a new era PPE and precautions for TXHSWS Certification Events. Cinco Ranch and PWA have decided to meet this with a new positive outlook and event design! Staggered starts at 30 minute increments starting at 8:00 AM will allow schools to filter safety through the facilities and the event while still competing and showcasing their skills! Students will start by having a quick safety orientation from PWA then taking the safety and tool ID Quiz in the class room. Following the quiz students will move to the cutting area to compete in the cutting contest where if they finish each cut fast enough they will be able to do the next level cut, there will be 3 total rounds. The next event will be the welding certification and competition events, and finally students who compete all phases of the event will have time to visit with sponsors and vendors at the event!
