Day Pack
Lunch (Provided)
Water Filter, or carry all the water you will need for the day. (4 liters)
We will not stop and filter. It will be a fill and go. A Sawyer mini on a bottle or Katadyn Befree is an option.
Swimsuit
Water Crossing Shoes (must have for the sharp volcanic rocks)
Rain Jacket and other 10 essentials (See packing list page)
Well-fitting shoes. Shoes that are too tight or too loose promote blisters.
You might want to bring a favorite hiking snack; keep it in bear-proof containers.
Drink Mix, with caffeine, can add a needed boost.
