Beware! I drove up to check out the campground. Google maps took an impossible way. First going to the Timp Cave Visitor Center and then to the campsite worked.
CAMP LIST
Food: Winter Trail food.
Will have trail stoves to cook on.
Gaiters will likely be very helpful.
Gloves almost always get wet. Bring a second pair.
Sled and cords to attach gear (DIY pulk). You can use a pack and a sled with additional gear if needed.
Not too critical as the camping location is close to parking at Mile Rock
A good shovel for building snow caves (could use one large one to help pile snow)
There is a $6 fee per vehicle
Must get the permit from Forest Service. The permit must be gotten in person.

Three picnic areas are available for winter camping right off the road: Roadhouse, Martin, and Mile Rock.
There were people parking at Tibble Fork reservoir and hiking/skiing up to Granit Flat Campground.
