Meals

• All students receive 16 meals per week. 

  • This includes breakfast 7 days per week, lunch Monday through Thursday and 5 meal coupons to use per week for dinners or lunches.

• Breakfast is continental (rolls, coffee, etc.) and is served in the dining hall at Casa Publicii.

• Lunches are also served in the dining hall and are served family-style, generally consisting of a meat, pasta, bread, salad, and fruit. Students are expected to help with cleaning up the tables after lunch in the dining hall.

• Dinners: Students receive 5 meal coupons each week, redeemable at several local restaurants. The choices include a range of styles, including a take-out deli, a local pizza place, Italian cuisine and more. These coupons are worth approximately 10-12 Euros.

• There is a coffee and soda machine for students to use.

• There is also a snack vending machine. 

• Students will receive a months worth of meal coupons at a time. 

• Please contact the Study Away Advisor regarding any dietary needs if you did not list them in your post-acceptance information. The staff will accommodate dietary needs for daily breakfast and lunch, as well as during outings or weekend trips. 

• Students will also receive Cafe coupons. The value of these vary but usually are enough for a coffee and pastry or gelato.

• If you have friends visiting you, they may not eat a meal on campus without asking permission from the Resident Assistant and paying for it.  You will learn how to make this request from our staff in Rome.

• Meal coupons are given out at the end of each month for the following one. Should they not be used within the month, they may roll in to the following one.

• Please, keep in mind that meal coupons are money. Should you lose them, or in case they are stolen, they will not be replaced by new ones.
