Watch the Pre-Departure Meeting with Rome Staff
As part of the program, all students receive comprehensive International Medical Insurance through International SOS (ISOS). For detailed information about the insurance policy please CLICK HERE.
MyTrips is a service provided by International SOS for travel safety and security which requires students to log their travel plans throughout their semester abroad. This includes program excursions and personal travel.
International SOS provides assistance in the event of an emergency abroad but can only help if your MyTrips information is accurate and they know where you are.
You can access ISOS and MyTrips through an app on your cell phone after your account has been created. See below for more details.
In order to enroll in International SOS (ISOS) and create your MyTrips account you must complete the following 3 steps by the due date above.
If you have used ISOS through travel with Trinity before, you just need to add a new trip since you already have an account.
If you are having difficulty creating your account please contact ISOS account support onlinehelp@internationalsos.com or submit a ticket using the client support platform under “Further Help” at: https://clientsupport.internationalsos.com/. For faster turnaround we ask that they provide screenshots of the error messages they are receiving to assist with our team’s investigation to find the root cause.
It is recommend that you complete this step on a computer, not a cell phone.
1. CLICK HERE to access the MyTrips login page.
2. Once on the Mytrips login page click on "New User? Register here" to register as a new user.
3. Follow the steps to register as a Trinity College Traveler. Always use your Trinity email.(Always use your Trinity College email address, that is how you are connected to International SOS Trinity College account)
Visiting Students: You will need to use your Trinity email account which was sent to you in April.
IMPORTANT: A verification email will be sent to your email. It is very common this email goes to spam folders.
Having trouble activating your account?
If you are having difficulty creating your account please contact ISOS account support onlinehelp@internationalsos.com or submit a ticket using the client support platform under “Further Help” at: https://clientsupport.internationalsos.com/. For faster turnaround we ask that they provide screenshots of the error messages they are receiving to assist with our team’s investigation to find the root cause.
1. Log into your MyTrips account and click on "Create New Trip." (On the top left and/or bottom left of the MyTrips portal you will see a button to direct you to this page.)
2. Manually enter your travel information. (If you have a lay over you will need to enter each flight individually in the trip.)
You can name each trip what ever you would like (Rome, Weekend trip to London, Etc.).
Each time you travel away from Rome overnight, you must create a new “trip” with a unique name. You must name the trip FIRST and then enter the travel details. For example, you are studying for the semester in Rome (Trip name “Rome”) and you go to Barcelona for the weekend, you must create another trip (perhaps called “Barcelona”) and then enter your travel information to Barcelona under the new trip.
If you are traveling by train or car you can also add this information.
Alternative way to enter your travel information in a trip:
FORWARD your confirmation email from the airline/train/boat company or travel agent to TrinityCollegeTravel@itinerary.internationalsos.com and the travel details will be entered automatically.
1. Go to your cell phone app store and search "International SOS Assistance" to download the app.
2. Open the Assistance App and log in with the same email you use for your MyTrips Account.
If you have any issues logging into the app please reach out to ISOS Customer Service onlinehelp@internationalsos.com.
Call or live chat with International SOS to make a doctor’s appointment or get any other medical or security assistance.
In order to access live chat you will need to set up your chat account and create a pin code. Scroll down for instruction on how to complete this.
Select the country you are in or will be travelling to and get up-to-date health and security information.
“Check In" when ever you enter a new city and return to your host city. Checking in does not send alerts to program staff or ISOS it just pings your location so we can locate you in the event of an emergency.
Click on the chat button. (to the right of the blue call button in the center).
Create a 4 digit pin number and security question and answer.
Start chatting.
*Save your pin number somewhere safe. If you need to chat with ISOS you will need to enter the pin number.
Contact ISOS immediately (available 24/7):
Live Chat (via the Assistance App) OR
Call 1-215-942-8478
You can contact your RA, or a Rome staff member who can also help you contact ISOS and help you arrange a medical appointment.
The Rome staff can bring you to your medical appointment if you need assistance finding the location or want someone to accompany you.
ISOS will make an appointment for you with an appropriate English speaking doctor and they will guarantee payment (so you should not need to pay up front)
ISOS will be in regular contact with you via email or phone to follow up on your care until your case is closed. Be sure to respond to all of their emails and phone calls immediately.
Keep your MyTrips account updated with all your travel plans and always log all overnight travel plans.
ISOS provides assistance in the event of safety and security events abroad but they can only help if they know where you are.
In the event of a large-scale emergency (terror attack, natural disaster), all students must immediately check in through the Assistance App by tapping the tear drop “Check in” button.
This will register your location so Trinity and ISOS can determine your proximity to the event.
You may also get an alert from ISOS checking in with you and asking you to advise if you are okay. These alerts will come via phone, email, and text. DO NOT IGNORE!
