Welcome to the second issue of a bi-monthly e-journal, The ELT Practitioner. As always, this edition includes papers with a balance of theory and practice for our readers across contexts.

A rich and varied collection of papers in this edition focus on the use of technology, the importance of communication and a comparative analysis of a book and a movie – the much-loved children’s classic, Maleficent. We hope that this diverse content will enable you to become a skilled ELT practitioner.

If you haven’t already, please register and join us for our 13^th international and 49^th national conference in Bilaspur from 29 June to 1 July. Our theme this year is ‘Next Generation Learners: New Demands, New Responses’ and we look forward to the talks, presentations, debates and interactions we will have on this very current challenge.
