I am feeling elated to share that ample of responses were received for the creative initiative of ELTAI of bringing out “The ELT Practitioner”. All the valuable suggestions boost up the energy to complete any task. With the feeling of motivation we are presenting our second issue of journal which opens up many new vistas of Language Teaching Pedagogy based on various tasks.
This issue contains the basic aspects of the significance and characteristics of an innovative research pedagogy known as CLIL, a very interesting type of task known as ‘Editing Task’ in between a sequence of tasks for the study of the effect of explicit knowledge on the acquisition of language, the idea of activity based learning is rooted in the common notion that students are active learners rather than passive recipients of information, importance of feedback in ELL plays vital role validates the saying of Rubin “A good language learning depends on at least three variables: aptitude, motivation and opportunity.” and the classroom interaction with Visuals and animation used in technology could be improved by providing necessary practice in construction of simple sentences.
English is our second language and teaching English is really a very challenging task but the new methodologies based on action research can make it interesting, easy and fruitful. This issue is an attempt to weave some of the techniques of the experts.
