Dear Avid Readers...

The ELT Practitioner wishes you a very Happy New Year.

Welcome to our latest issue of this new year. This issue brings a news register for the journal that is Book Review. Hope you all will enjoy this new approach. The First article reveals that the teachers can plan many language games to enable the students learn grammar and vocabulary along with language skills. It also shows that the games can be modified and played according to the availability of the time and language level of the students. The second article opens a new approach of teaching i.e. Just-in-Time Teaching. It shows an account of what this strategy is, how it operates, and why it should be considered in FL education. The third paper is a case study which shows English language classroom in Cuttack, a majority of the teachers of English language from English medium schools expressed their reluctance in using the first language or native language of the student while the Odia medium teachers did not carry any biases. The fourth paper is based on task based strategies for effective classroom. The last article is book review which has been included first time in our Journal. We hope to include more and more creative and innovative articles, book reviews and interviews.

I hope you will enjoy this issue and your valuable suggestions are always welcome.
