This issue has five articles knitted in different aspects of ELT Practices. The First article emphasizes on usage of Technology. The writer says that the Computer assisted instruction is among the range of strategies being used to improve student achievement in school subjects including reading. Students are expected to benefit from CALL among the benefits that have been expected are better and more comfortable learning for students, since they learn at their own pace and convenience. The second article is wrapped up with the practices of teaching. The author says that to shape the practice of everyday teaching the time is ripe for teachers to become ‘strategic practitioners’ and go beyond set methodical pedagogy and invent one’s own pedagogical strategy suited to the needs of the learners. It is time to invest in understanding the learners’ and then take the necessary action of going beyond text books. The third article reveals that the good pronunciation is essential for international intelligibility is proved by many proponents of ELT worldwide. A lack of intelligibility in non-native speakers proves to be a detriment to their professional growth. The study of word stress used by the fifty informants of B. Tech and MBA courses proves that they require focused training in pronunciation. The fourth article is based on the Alternative Assessment which has more advantages than disadvantages in the learning and teaching process of English as it focuses on assessing what the students know and drives the students to be able to do even if something they do not know. The last article shares a tool of teaching English. In this article Drama is used as a teaching tool, the author says that Drama is not only tool of teaching English language, it provides creative thinking in the minds of students talk Literature is not only a tool for developing the written and oral skills of the students in the target language, but also is a window opening into the culture of the target language, building up a cultural competence in students.
