It’s crucial that we also address the whitewashing of US history - we need to demand whomever or whatever organization(s) that are writing and producing school text books to include every horrendous thing the United States has done from neo-colonialism , capitalistic exploitation, political corruption, etc. The populace need to know everything, including the history of labor, the history of civil rights, the fight for human rights as well as every historical figure and movement that challenged capitalism, imperialism, neo-colonialism and various western narrative(s).
