Dear Pack 911 Families - After a long winter hiatus, we came back full force last Saturday for our annual Pinewood Derby. Congratulations to all 70+ scouts, parents and siblings who worked hard to make and race their derby cars! Please take a moment to share some of your favorite moments in our Derby Whatsapp Chat or in your Den chats. We'll post all photos in our Private Facebook Group or dropbox link so you can download your scout's driver license portrait. Special thanks to Emily (Asa's mom) for making those AWESOME custom trophies, Mark for taking our License photos, Hector for our live feed broadcast and music, our Pit Crew for running the races and doing checkins, and all of the parents/older scouts for helping setup, manning food, check in and cleanup! It takes a village to put on every pack event, and we're grateful to have such a large one!
Looking ahead for 2026, we have many events for your scout to participate in and earn achievements, including early registrations for summer camp. Please take a moment to update your calendars for the rest of the year from this REVISED YEAR AT A GLANCE CALENDAR.
February's theme is focused on First Aid and Safety, and our den meetings will reflect the requirements listed below.
This month also marks the anniversary of Scouting America (February 8, 1910). Pack 911 will celebrate this annual tradition of a Blue & Gold Party with a fun and educational Mad Science Event on Feb 28th, where we'll bring in scientists to lead some fun, explosive experiments, with make and take stations for hands-on learning. Don't forget to RSVP so we can get a proper headcount. https://evite.me/zkPrrdQ1tv
As always, we're here to support you and your family every step of the way and answer any questions to make the most of your scouting journey. Don't hesitate to reach out!
Yours in Scouting,
