October's theme was the OUTDOORS, and each den spent time working through requirements to help prepare them for our November camping trip, including making first aid kits, building tents, and practicing the Outdoor Code during our pack hike to Limekiln Canyon. We talked about the importance of the buddy system and how to stay safe in the outdoors. Our older AOL scouts also worked on their knife safety skills so they can assist in cooking and prepping food next month during our Oak Park campout.
We ended this month with a Trunk or Treat and a camping prep Pack Meeting where Cubmaster Jeff shared details about our upcoming trip at Oak Park and all the fun we will have!
